Itinerary

DAY 1 : SHIMLA LOCAL

On arrival at Shimla Airport/Railway Station, we will meet you and you are ready to explore the city. This town is situated at an altitude of 2,205 m, it used to be the summer capital of British India with a well-planned architecture. The town is famous for pleasant walking experiences on hillsides surrounded by pine and oak forests. This capital city of Himachal Pradesh is famous for The Mall, Ridge and toy train.

Advanced Study, a residential centre for higher education, the Indian institute of Advanced Study, is located on Observatory hill-one of the seven hlls of Shimla. Formed in 1964, this institute was formally inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan-the former President of India on 20th Octuber 1965.

Then there is Army Heritage Museum to explore, and then proceed to Naldehra. Naldehra is a small enchanting hill station in Himachal, located just around 22 km from Shimla. It is perfect for tourists looking for natural scenic beauty and an offbeat location. Naldehra is famous for its greenery, golf course and plain view of the mountains filled with pine, cedar and deodar trees.

Evening free to visit Mall Road for shopping. Mall Road is the major hangout point and shopping center in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, India. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel.

DAY 2 : SHIMLA – KUFRI

This day after breakfast, proceeds for in and around Shimla, visit Kufri. Kufri is a resort hill station. On the Kufri avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with Indian-style hotels and souvenir shops.

If you are into rides and adventure, Kufri Fun World fits the bill. It is an amusement park having a number of enjoyable rides for the kids. This park also features the world’s highest go - kart tract – which obviously includes the adults as well. If you are travelling with kids, make sure that you do not miss out this park. It will definitely be the best part of your trip. A canteen is situated within a park to provide snacks foe the tourists.

Overnight stay at Shimla, here you enjoy the beautiful views of GREEN VELLEY and FAGU VELLEY.

DAY 3 : SHIMLA – MANALI

After breakfast, leave for Manali, on the way sight-seeing at Mandi, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Devi Temple, Mini Vaishno Devi Temple, Kullu famous Shawls shops and night stay at Manali.

On the way to Manali you can experience adventurous activities at Kullu. Day 4 : Manali Local

This day, after breakfast, visit Hadimba Devi Temple, locally known as Dhungari Temple. It is an ancient cave Temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian Epic Mahabharata. The Temple is surrounded by a cedar forest called Dhungari Van Vihara the foot of the Himalyas. The sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshiped as an image of the deity. The structure was built in 1553 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh.

The Hidimba Devi Temple has intricately carved wooden doors and a 24-meter-tall wooden “SHIKHAR” or tower above the sanctuary. The tower consists of three-square roofs covered with timber tiles and a fourth brass cone-shaped roof at the top. After that visit MALL ROAD.

Mall Road has a number of showrooms, department stores shops, restaurants and cafes. A Himachal emporium that offers handicraft products of Himachal like locally designed woolen clothes, branded clothes, pottery items, wooden products and jewellery is also located here. You can enjoy amazing street food over there.

Day 5 : Manali-Atal Tunnel-Manali

After having breakfast, this day, visit Atal Tunnel. Highway Tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass in the Eastern Pir Panjal Range.

AN ENGINEERING MARVEL IN THE HIMALYAS

The most challenging task was to continue the excavation during heavy snowfall in winter. Excavaion for tunneling was done from both ends. However, as Rohtang pass closes during the winter, the north poral was not accessible during winter and the excavation was being done only from the south portal in winters. There were more than 46 avalanche sites on approaches to the tunnel.

On the way back visit SISSU VELLEY, Sissu is a small town in the Lahul valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is around 40 km from Manali and located on the right bank of Chandra River. Evening free to explore the Mall Road in Manali. Mall Road is the heart of Manali and one of the prime attractions for tourists, especially shopaholics. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day : 6 Manali - Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley

This day, after breakfast, leave for Rohtang Pass. The most important site that Manali town has to offer os Rohtang Pass, which is located in close vicinity to Manali. Rohtang Pass is covered with snow throughout the year and makes for a great adventure experience. This is the place to be if you are looking forward to unwinding and rejuvenate in the lap of nature. This pretty place is a great destination for family vacationers and honeymooners alike.

Solang Valley: Solang Valley derives its name from combination of words Solang and Nallah. It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal, 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and it is known for its summer and winter sport conditions.

Solang Valley activities are some of the best ones you can explore while vacationing in Himachal. The picturesque valley is home to abundant greenery and resplendent natural beauty, but it is the many sports here that tourists cannot get enough of. Among the many Solang Valley adventure sports are skiing, snowboarding, snow biking, which are best enjoyed in the winter. You can admire the snow-capped mountains as you swiftly move across the valley.

Day : 7 Manali – Kasol

This day after breakfast, leave for Kasol. On the way to Kasol, visit Manikaran Gurudwara, located in the Parvati Valley on river Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal. It is an altitude of 1760 m and is located 4 km from Kasol, about 45 km from Kullu.

Kasol is a hamlet in the Kullu district. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River, between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 30 km from Bhuntar and 36 from Kullu.

▪ River Rafting at Parvati River

Kasol is home to the remarkable converging view of the river Beas with river Parvato. Put on your suits and lifejackets which you can get here and indulge in river rafting at the mesmerizing Parvati river.

▪ Trekking From Kasol to Kheerganga

The most famous trek undertaken by visitors from all over the world in Pin Parvati Valley leads to the mystical and magical hot springs of Kheerganga. You need to travel from Kasol to Barshaini and another 12 kms on foot. Make sure you capture the stunning valleys and sparkling waterfalls on your way.

Bring out your inner cricket fan and enjoy at the world’s highest cricket stadium in Dharamshala.)

Daramshala is a city in the Indian state Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Choling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts. Day 9 : Dharamshala – Dalhousie

Day 10 : Drop at Shimla

This day after breakfast, leave for Shimla, drop at Shimla Airport/Railway Station.
